Press release - IOC PRESIDENT HIGLIGHTS THE IMPACT OF ARAB EXCELLENCE ON THE YOUTH IN MENA
Prior to this historic visit in Morocco, the president of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach issued a press release highliting the impact of Arab Excellence on the youth in the MENA Region.
“It's important to have such role models to inspire the next generation of young Moroccans. Using the power of sport to make a positive impact on society is what motivated young Moroccan entrepreneur Hamza Chraïbi to found his non-profit organization Arab Excellence. By highlighting personal success stories in the Arab community, many of which come from the sporting world, Hamza has created a platform that offers young people in the Arab world the advice they need to take control of their destiny and become responsible citizens. Hamza is one of a group of young ambassadors from around the world, supported by the International Olympic Committee, who have pledged to live by Olympic values and inspire young people to do the same and take responsibility for themselves.
The IOC supports the work of the 206 National Olympic Committees around the world, as well as that of young leaders like Hamza, because, in different ways, they all set an example by putting sport at the service of communities.
Through their remarkable initiatives, they give today's youth hope and faith in their ability to realize their dreams and achieve their goals. In Morocco, they continue to perpetuate the legacy left by pioneers such as Nawal El Moutawakel and Hicham El Guerrouj. In doing so, they give today's young generation confidence in themselves and in their future.”

PARTNERSHIP WITH JP MORGAN
December 2025, Riyadh
After successful programs delivered across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, a new program called « Saudi Youth – Match Excellence » has just started in Riyadh with the support of the J.P. Morgan, in partnership with Tanweel and other local partners.
The program aims to empower and inspire 150 young Saudi women and men every year for two years, by providing them with the coaching, mentorship, and networking opportunities needed to achieve their professional goals and aspirations and thereby successfully transition into the labour market. Talents will be matched with additional training and job opportunities in sectors in needs of talent in the country. This is aligned with the Saudization vision of the workforce announced as part of the Vision Saudi 2030.
"From the past programs, it iss inspiring to see how these talented young Saudis are really taking onboard the important life- lessons they're learning through the ArabExcellence program, and are already putting them into practice to achieve their professional goals" said HRH Prince Faisal Bin Saud Bin Abdullah Al Faisal, Entrepreneur and Managing Director of Tanweel
The program itself is to been facilitated by Arab role models, and leading professionals from partner companies and institutes in Saudi Arabia. These are people who have experience, have demonstrated achievement in their respective fields, and have shown a talent for youth engagement, mentoring and empowerment. Their first-hand experience of overcoming challenges and adversity personally and/or professionally guided their work with the young participants who were facing similarly daunting challenges in their lives.
« I am so grateful for this program. It helped me clarify my professional vision, plans, and goals. Before. I was completely lost and therefore not doing anything with my life.I was waiting for jobs and opportunities to come to me. Now I am taking initiatives and being pro active as I know where I am going with my life. » said Delal who graduated from the past program.
Over 1000+ young Saudi men and women, in Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province, have already benefitted from the ArabExcellence program, during several programs in partnership with Tanweel over the lastyears. These programs also involved collaboration with a number of other Saudi partners including Effat and Al Faisal Universities, Bunyane, AlNahdah, the Al Birr Charity and the Al Ghad Youth Association.
"Our post-program research shows that of those who participated in the pilot phase of ArabExcellence here in Saudi Arabia, 90% secured meetings with potential mentors to sharpen their vision and career roadmap, 93% now have a clear professional vision, and 85% have improved their technical and soft skills, since completing the program. That's a great result!" said Hamza Chraibi, President and Founder of Arab Excellence
The support for Arab Excellence is part of a global investment by JPMorgan Chase of $200 million, which is designed to create pathways to opportunity in the regions where they do business by supporting financial capability and development of communities, workforce, and small business. In KSA, J.P. Morgan supports programs that help youth prepare and successfully transition into quality employment, compete in the global economy and find new pathways to economic opportunity, particularly in the private sector.
PARTNERSHIP WITH CHALLENGE FUND FOR YOUTH EMPLOYMENT
An Initiative supported by the Ministry of the Netherlands for Foreign Affairs - The consortium A-Excellence, Match Excellence and Mon Miroir has been selected as of one of the 4 implementing partners in Morocco of the CFYE - Challenge Fund for Youth employment.
The goal of the Challenge Fund for Youth Employment, deployed by Palladium Group, is to support robust and innovative ideas for creating or improving decent work prospects for youth, especially young women. For the purposes of this program, youth is defined as between the ages of 15 – 35. Over the next 7 years, CFYE will work with selected Implementing Partners across the Middle East, North Africa, Sahel/West Africa and the Horn of Africa to tackle the challenge of youth underemployment and unemployment in these regions. Our projects will enable 230,000 young people to access new or better employment, including wage or salary jobs, or self-employment.
The consortium A-Excellence, Match Excellence and Mon Miroir are fighting the persistent youth unemployment in Morocco through employability and matching programs. Match Excellence is a growing Moroccan Edtech SME with clients across the MENA Region, focusing on helping talent design their careers and matching them with meaningful jobs. A-Excellence aims to provide underprivileged youth in the same region with the training, inspiration, network and mentorship needed to help them realize and reach their full personal and professional potential. Mon Miroir is a strategy and management consulting firm, passionate about the education sector and has contributed to its development for over 14 years. Through this project, the collaborative organisations aim to create and connect youth with employment opportunities but will also aim to create a new paradigm in how the transition from education into the job market is being done in Morocco.
